Favouring live, ensemble recording and analogue production techniques, Frollen Music Library creates some of Australia's most meticulously crafted, groove-driven library recordings. Their work channels the spirit of golden-era library music—particularly the sophisticated jazz-funk of KPM and De Wolfe—while maintaining a production aesthetic that speaks to today's sampling culture.
At the heart of their catalogue is the FML House Band—Darvid Thor, Henry Jenkins, and Hudson Whitlock—three long-time collaborators and members of Melbourne's thriving soul music community that makes up Karate Boogaloo, Surprise Chef and The Pro-Teens. Their deep understanding of classic analog instrumentation and recording techniques, paired with an intuitive grasp of groove and arrangement, has made them the architects of FML's most celebrated releases.
In 2025, Frollen Music Library achieved a landmark milestone when their track "The Hands Of Time"—sampled by Leon Thomas on his critically acclaimed album Mutt—won a Grammy Award for R&B Album of the Year and was also nominated for Album of the Year. This recognition cemented F.M.L.'s position as one of the most influential sample libraries in contemporary music production.

FML ensures that master clearance is guaranteed, however, the music is not royalty-free and you MUST negotiate a license with us. This is because FML has decided to forego creating short loops in favour of creating longer and more detailed compositions. Each piece of music that FML creates has been meticulously composed, performed, recorded and produced to a super high standard by professionals.
